Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These terms govern use of Pausr, time-off management software for engineering teams, at usepausr.com. By creating an organization or signing in to one, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
Accounts and organizations
Pausr is organized around organizations. Whoever creates one is its admin and controls who is invited, what role each person holds, and how time off is configured. Admins are responsible for the access they grant to managers and other admins, and for removing people who should no longer have it.
Sign-in is passwordless, using Google or a single-use email link. You are responsible for the security of the email account and Google account you sign in with, because control of either is control of your Pausr account.
Acceptable use
Use Pausr for managing time off for your own organization. Do not use it to store data unrelated to that purpose, attempt to access another organization’s data, probe or disrupt the service, resell access, or break the law with it. We may suspend an account that does.
Your data
Your organization’s data belongs to your organization. We process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping employee records accurate and for having a lawful basis to hold the employment data you enter.
You can export data and delete your organization at any time. Deleting an organization removes its time-off data and member accounts, and cannot be undone.
Connected services
Google Calendar and Slack are optional. Connecting one authorizes Pausr to act on that service on your behalf for the features described in the product, and your use of it remains subject to that provider’s own terms. Disconnecting stops further access. We are not responsible for outages or changes in those services.
Plans and payment
Free plans are limited by seat count. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the interval shown at checkout, in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled. Your seat limit and plan status follow the subscription Stripe records.
You can cancel at any time; the plan then runs to the end of the period already paid for and does not renew. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law. We will give notice before changing prices for an existing subscription.
Availability
We aim to keep Pausr available and to give notice of planned maintenance, but we do not commit to a specific uptime level unless we have agreed one with you in writing.
Termination
You may stop using Pausr and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or that has not paid, after giving you a reasonable chance to fix it where the circumstances allow.
Disclaimers
Pausr is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. Pausr helps you track time off; it is not legal, tax, payroll, or employment advice, and it is your responsibility to ensure your policies comply with the law that applies to your employees.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify organization admins by email. Continuing to use Pausr after a change takes effect means you accept it.
